Free Comic Book Day 2013

Like last year, I will be at the Source Comics and Games in Roseville, MN to sign some copies of books that I have previously released, along with some new prints. I want anyone who can to go out to their local comic book shops and support the comic book dealers that help make this business possible. Not only will you be supporting the comic book business, you will be getting amazing deals (most stores have a discount on that day) as well as free books! Be creative, check out some new books from up and coming talents. Get out of your house, out from your computer and enjoy FCBD

Writers I Respect

This may be one of my most odd post for my blog, but I wanted to write about people who are up and coming comic book writers that I truly respect. It's not something where I'm trying to suck up to people, I really think these people make good comics worth reading. In a way, and they don't know it, they motivate me to focus on my comic book writing more sometimes when my logic says, write screenplays, they make money. But most of these people are also fathers, have families at home and it's tough for a writer in comics to not only balance the time but it also takes money sometimes to get your career going.

Jeremy Holt: http://clumpoftrees.wordpress.com/. He is a great writer, possibly better guy who I think will be getting a big break pretty soon.
Mark Bertolini: http://markbertolini.wordpress.com/. Good writer. Creates unique stories, and that is what comics are all about.
Shawn Aldridge: http://shawnaldridge.blogspot.com/. Created Vic Boone, and just one of the nicest guys that I have had the chance to interact with on the web.
Ed Brisson: http://www.edbrisson.com. To me, he has made it. 2 books by the biggest creator owned publisher. I envy you. Plus he makes money off of lettering, which I have tried and don't have the patience for.
Fabian Rangel, Jr: http://fabianrangeljr.tumblr.com/. Just creates awesome books, which pisses me off sometimes. But he's a good guy that I wish nothing but the best for. Common, Doc Unknown!

I can keep going about talented people who cool like Anthony Hary, Kurt Belcher, CW Cooke, Jeff McComesy, etc, etc, etc. I'm not trying to leave your name off if I do, just I only have so much time to write this piece.

GU's Geeks United Podcast

As of late, since Geeky Universe has been expanded with new partners, we have decided to do a little podcast called GU's Geeks United. If you don't remember, I am the majority owner of Geeky Universe (with my wife of course), as well trying to make it as a writer. The podcast has been surprisingly quick to get viewers and has been going pretty well.
This week we are getting into a "Geeks vs" battle about the extremely popular series, Doctor Who when Erick and Bobby debate who their favorite Doctor is. Also, we do a Top 5 about "Geeky Weddings" and answer questions live from the audience for the first time.

MEET THE CAST
Bobby the BaussMan is the writing extraordinare and BOSS at Geeky Universe. You can check out his writing blog and his books at the Im a Geek Store here

Last Ninja in British Library System

A few years ago, I got my graphic novel, Last Ninja, published by Arcana Studios. A few months later, I got an email from the British Library about them wanting my information since they have obtained my book, Last Ninja. Probably doesn't mean much to some writers, but it was a big deal for me.

Don't believe me? Click the link and check it out
